Greg Rosenthal
Assistant Coach

Greg Rosenthal was named the assistant coach for the Milwaukee men's soccer team in early April of 2022.
 
Rosenthal is a familiar name to the MKE program, having played four years for the Panthers from 2007 to 2010. He made 70 starts in 73 career games in his time at Milwaukee, while also becoming just the second player in program history to serve as a team captain for three years of his career.
 
“I am extremely excited about the addition of Greg to our staff and program,” head coach Kris Kelderman said. “He is someone I have known for quite some time and am very confident is a great fit for this role. He checked all the boxes for the ideal candidate when searching for a new assistant coach. The success he’s experienced as a former Panther and as a professional player will greatly benefit our student-athletes in their development and also in our winning culture. Greg has a thorough knowledge of the soccer scene in the Midwest region, due to both him being a Minnesota native as well as coaching both collegiately and in youth soccer here in our home state. He is a high-character individual and will be a great role model for our guys. We welcome Greg once again to the Panther Family!”
 
Rosenthal most recently served as the Competitions Administrator for the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association, a position he held since 2018. In the position, Rosenthal was responsible for overseeing the administration of the Southeast Classic League, Southwest Classic League, Northwest Classic League, and Presidents Cup. He also managed the yearly budget for all competitions and helped lead the growth of soccer in the state of Wisconsin for the U.S. Youth Members.
 
Rosenthal spent 2017-2018 as an assistant with the Marian University men’s program, leading player recruitment as well as playing a major role in training sessions. He gained additional coaching experience with Ole Football Academy (2014) and Exodus Team Wellington (2015) in New Zealand as well as with Bavarian United’s 17U-19U teams from 2017 to present. Included in his time coaching with Team Wellington was serving as the assistant for the OFC Champions League campaign in 2015.
 
As a player for the Panthers, Rosenthal capped his career by being named First-Team All-Horizon League following his senior campaign in 2010. He scored two goals and had two assists on the season, including the tying goal against No. 22 Michigan State in the closing minutes. He started all 19 games for the Panthers in 2010, playing all but a handful of minutes against Northern Illinois Nov. 4 – when he came out against the Huskies, it brough to an end an impressive streak of 31-straight games where he played every minute. Rosenthal also began his career by earning Horizon League All-Newcomer honors as a freshman.
 
He signed professionally to play with Gamla Upsala SK in Sweden after his collegiate career came to a close. That was followed by time as a pro with Valsra Syrianska IK (2013), Western Suburbs SC (2014), and Exodus Team Wellington (2014-15).

Agustin Rey
Assistant Coach

Agustin Rey joins the staff of Kris Kelderman as an assistant coach in the fall of 2016.

Rey wrapped up his playing career at Milwaukee in the Fall of 2015, starting all 18 games as a senior in posting career highs in all categories.

Staff will consist of current and former members of the UWM men’s soccer team, as well as other collegiate soccer coaches and UWM athletic trainers.
